Does anyone know of any node/functions that is available to do alerting? I am intending to do an alerting function to a specific group of end user based on the item status as they will be the ones taking charge of them.

Sorry for the late reply, but i do have trouble using the email node to send alert though. Unable to connect the email node to the email due to the the connectivity issue though.
