Connecting Excel with Knime

Hi everybody,

is it possible to connect Excel with KNIME? I want to execute a node in KNIME and at the same time I want to execute a macro in Excel?
Is something like that possible?

Or can I execute a macro in Excel so that a workflow in KNIME will also be executed?

I am not an expert in Excel macros, but have you tried using the Bash node from the NGS package?
