It would be handy if there were commands to arrange nodes on the screen like in PowerPoint, e.g. align left/center/right or top/middle/bottom. I don't see this capability.

This is probably something that is covered by the auto-layouter, that is not been implemented yet. We have it on our list of gui improvements. Thanks.
