Dear KNIME Team,
after upgrading to KNIME 3.7, I have trouble reaching the update site for 3.7.
Using http://update.knime.com/analytics-platform/3.7 ,
I always get a
ERROR InvokeUpdateAction I/O error while checking for new update sites: connect timed out
message in the log.
Pinging update.knime.com shows the site is available through our firewall, so I don’t know if there is a problem in the software itself.

Do you need a proxy to connect to the internet? If so, you need to configure it in KNIME as will (File->Preferences->Network Connections).

Thanks for the quick response. I’ll check that.
We had cases where these settings did help. Maybe you give it a try.
A colleague suggested adding these settins to the knime.ini file. I added it belwo the -vmargs line. And it solved my problem on a large internal network getting strange messages when trying to update KNIME. From my understanding it basically increases the timeout for the operations.
