Hello,
On Knime 4.4.0, we are getting an error doing some simple things with create Date&Time range node.
You can duplicate it by:
Dropping a “Create Date&Time Range Node” on a workflow.
Configure the node–>
Select Date&time with zone Output type.
Select Variable for “Mode Selection”.
Under “Ending Point”, enter 1h for Interval (or whatever, I’m not sure it matters).
For End under same section, enter a time in the future.
You should get an error like:
It seems like this is probably because the Time Zone dropdown is missing in Ending Point section in 4.4.0.
Thank you for looking into this.
Kind regards,
Michael
Hi @txjmb , this bug might indeed be related to 4.4.0 (I cannot confirm this as I don’t have 4.4.0).
But, regarding what you said:
4.3.x also does not have the Time Zone dropdown in the Ending Point:
And I don’t get an error following your instructions.
That’s not to say that it could not be the problem. Perhaps 4.4.x does rely on the Time Zone for Ending Point, but I just wanted to point out that the Time Zone dropdown is not missing only in 4.4.0. It was already “missing” in 4.3.x and it worked fine.

Hello @txjmb ,
have taken a look. Might be related to Java version change in v4.4:
Latest KNIME Software release with Data Apps, Conda Environment Propagation for R, Snowflake In-Database Processing, and more!
Opened up a ticket for investigation (Internal reference: AP-17262). Someone will update ticket once there is news. Tnx for reporting this issue!
