Bug in Report PDF Writer?

Hello,

It seems that when outputting a Table View in the Report PDF Writer node, some rows of the table are lost. For example, the 99th and 100th rows of a table with 100 rows do not appear in the report.

I have created a workflow for reproduction.

This phenomenon occurs in KAP 5.3 but does not occur in KAP 5.2.
The execution environment is Windows 11.

Thanks,

I tried it with KNIME Analytics Platform 5.3.1, but the issue still persists. I tested it not only on Windows 11 but also on macOS, and it was the same.

I attempted to change the ‘Browser for PDF generation’ option, but I didn’t know how to do it. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Hey @tymsk3891,

thanks for reporting. We could identify the problem and will likely fix it for 5.3.2. I will keep you updated as soon as I have news.

Greetings,
Daniel

Hey,

Unfortunately, I have some bad news. Although we were able to identify the problem, fixing it seems to be much more difficult than we initially thought. There is no quick fix that doesn’t involve other problems that we didn’t want to risk. We are still working hard to find the right solution, but it won’t make it to 5.3.2. I will keep this thread updated.

We apologize for the inconvenience,
Daniel

Hi all, I’m hitting the same issue. Do you have a workaround to suggest or a time schedule for the solution of the bug? Do we need to downgrade to KAP 5.2? Thanks for all your efforts,
Andrea

Hi @andcar,

My workaround is to have both the latest KNIME and KNIME 5.2 available. However, KNIME 5.2 needs to be downloaded (zip archive) instead of installed.

I also have a separate knime-workspace for 5.2.

Thanks,

Adrian
