Dear Knimers, The example workflow below works fine when the upper branch is activated: [image] …but when I try to activate to lower branch and deactivate the upper one, the workflow fails: [image] Note that the variable created in the upper branch is entered into the configuration field of the Component. The problem seems to be that even when the branch becomes inactive, Knime somehow still expect this flow variable to be present; this is not the case when the branch is inactive, which leads to the error. The problems deals with the fact that sometimes (depending on how their flow variables are defined) wrapped metanodes in inactive branches stop the execution of the workflow and this is very annoying. Does anybody know if this problem is solved in KNIME 4.0? (I’m still using KNIME 3.7.1). Br, Ivan
