Cannot connect to database since upgrade

I recently upgraded from KNIME 2.6.3 to 2.7.1. Since then I cannot connect to the databases I normally connected to in the older version. My Database Reader configuration is identical:

for example:

database driver = oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
database URL = jdbc:oracle:thin://@gsd3.es.downd.com:1521:JIMPD

but in 2.7.1 I get the error message when I try to fetch metadata:  "Error during fetching metadata from database, reason: java.sql.SQLException: Io exception: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection"

I still have 2.6.3 installed and it still works in the old version. What am I doing wrong in the latest version?

Hi jon, 

I was able to connect to our server using KNIME 2.7.1, could you please verify that your settings are correct?  I only ask becasue I initially mistyped mine and this resulted in the same error message you are reporting.
