Classify

Hello,

I have a table with 8 column and I want to classify them with data mining so could anybody help me which classifier is best.

I'd try a decision tree first, but the number of descriptors isn't the only consideration.

I am using the decision tree learner but i don't understand how to configure the decision tree...mean i have partition the dataset into two as training/test but I don't understand the result of it.

so it would be great if you can explain me how splitting is working in decision tree learner?
