Hey @USCHUKN1ME
can you give us a bit more information on your setup? What KNIME version are you using and what is inside this component? Did you recently do an upgrade or change to the component? This error message just indicates that the view cannot be opened, but this could have various reasons.
How do you save this HTML file? Are you doing this with the debug HTML option in the preferences?
Greetings,
Daniel
Hello @DanielBog ,
I have not changed anything in the component. Yesterday, the dashboard was created and displayed without any problems.
“How do you save this HTML file?”’
Right click and save as …
Greetings
Thanks for providing the information. Did you do any updates of KNIME? Would it be possible to provide a minimal example with dummy data so that I can debug it?
Which browser have you selected in the JavaScript preference page?
Greetings,
Daniel
Hi @DanielBog
“Which browser have you selected in the JavaScript preference page?”
“Did you do any updates of KNIME?”
Today? No, i didn´t.
“Would it be possible to provide a minimal example with dummy data so that I can debug it?”
Uuh, sorry that is not so easy.
I get the datas from our database !
Dashboardscreen in Firefox
Greetings
It works on the Hub/Server but not in the Analytics Platform?
Can you try to open the view of each of the views inside the component and try to see if they are all working? Without a minimal version it gets tricky for me to further investigate.
Greetings,
Daniel
“Does it work on the hub/server but not on the analytics platform?”
I get the data from our ERP, not via a KNIME server.
This is the entire workflow with several Metanodes DB-Query :
If i open for exmaple the bar chart node in the component , it works:
…but i got the message too:
Hey,
How do you open the dashboard in firefox if you are not on the WebPortal?
Can you send me the KNIME log and could you check that all of the views work, not only the bar chart?
Greetings,
Daniel
Hi,
I save the dashboard created in KNIME to a server drive in our company with a right click.
On the PCs in the production I have included this HTML in the autostart.
I just loaded an older version of the workflow and there the dashboard can be opened or it is displayed.
Switched back to the current workflow and there the dashoboard is now displayed again, but I can no longer save it as an html file with a right click.
And the error message is still here - but behind the Dashboard:
Very strange behavior
Hey,
If I understand correctly the dashboard is only working on older KNIME versions and not 5.1? The right click menu is only working in older versions of KNIME that is intentional and was what confused me. Can you tell me on which KNIME version this dashboard is still working?
Greetings,
Daniel
Hi @DanielBog ,
no the workflow and the dashboard works with 5.1!
Just now I tried again and I don’t know why, but the dashboard is generated and opened. But what doesn’t work anymore is the “right click” to save the dashboard as HTML file ?!
Greetings
Hey @USCHUKN1ME,
great to hear that it now works, but still kind of strange. The right click save as is not supposed to work when you have Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF) selected as the browser. Might be that you had bundled chromium or internal SWT browser selected previously.
Greetings,
Daniel
HI @DanielBog
I have not actually changed anything at all in the settings. That’s exactly what surprises me now, that it suddenly doesn’t work anymore. If Chromium is not checked, no dashboard is created at all.
greetings
Hey,
that is very weird. And you also didn’t update KNIME?
But as far as I got it it is now working again? (despite the right click to save HTML)
Greetings,
Daniel
Hello @DanielBog ,
The last update was to version 5.1. as well as
the required subsequent updates individual packages. But despite these updates it works, so it can’t really be the updates. Without saving the dashboard as HTML, the workflow does not work until the end, because the task of the WF is to save the dashboard on our server.
Greetings
Hey @USCHUKN1ME,
yes this will bring back the context menu and the ability to save it as HTML, but this will not work for some new features. For example the python Views and new visualization nodes won’t work with the bundled Chromium. But if you currently don’t need those this might be the solution for you.
Greetings,
Daniel
