Excel Reader - freezes during configuration

Hi,

I have a problem with the new Excel reader node (Knime 2.2.2, on an OpenSUSE 11.2 machine). Whenever I set an Excel file in the configuration dialogue, the node freezes for a very long time.

Once the node is configured, even opening the configuration dialogue causes a freeze of > 10 min.

Is somebody else experiencing this? Any hints on what could be the problem?

I experience the same behavior with this node. Seems that the hang time depends on how much memory is in use. But I don't have an answer other than freeing up memory.
