feature request - feature selection loop end output

Hi,

There doesn’t seem to be an ability to have a proper output port on a wrapped metanode that can take the filter model coming out of a feature selection node. I’d like to apply the same filter to the production set/model, but now have to go through creating columns with the feature names and put that out as a data table.

Thanks,
Natasja

Hi @nbrooijmans,

You are right the meta node configuration Dialog does not show the Feature selection model as possible output and we are looking into this issue. In the meanwhile you can still create the meta node you need by simply selecting all nodes you want to encapsulate and collapsing them in a meta node through the right click menu.

Kind regards,
Adrian

Hi Adrian,

Thanks for the reply. The node is already in a wrapped metanode, just an extra step (column filter) to enable using the same columns with a different set of compounds. Would be nice to apply it more directly via enabling that output.
Thanks,
Natasja

I think, the workaround, that @nemad suggested, is to unpack your (wrapped) metanode and create an additional connection to a new Feature selection node. Pack back everything that was previously expanded (without the newly added node) into a (wrapped) metanode. The connection will survive and will result in a new Feature selection model connector on your metanode output. now you can remove the added node and the connector will stay available

Great, yes, that does work. Thanks for the tip!
