Feature Request on Changing Column Type

Is there anyway to easily change ColumnType of a Column to anything of your choice. I find the Rename column is restrictive and does not always allow you to select the correct option. Sometimes they are as a ?, and you know the column is a Double but rename node doesnt give the option. Also sometimes columns are represented as Strings, when you know its a Smiles column, there is no option to change the column to Smiles from a String.

try Molecule Type Cast node (under chemistry/CDK) to change string into smiles.

it is only  partial answer ot your tricky question, but I found it essential.
