file dependency while scheduling a workflow

Hi All,

I am trying to schedule a workflow with a file dependency on it, that is if some particular file is available on knime server then only that particular workflow should be triggered. While scheduling it from desktop version in scheduling option tab ,I can only see the DATE/TIME option to schedule.

I’ve done a search but didn’t find a post so here goes. We are looking at having a KNIME server (medium) setup internally in a windows environment. Is it possible to have a workflow trigger on the arrival of a file in a directory that isn’t on a set time of day/schedule. ie: Poll a folder and when file xyz.txt arrives process the desired workflow Thanks for any help

Currently it is not possible to schedule a workflow based on file event. (Internal reference: SRV-2863)
