“Files to Binary Objects” accepts only URI-Input as of today (5.8.2 LTS). You can access files on a filesystem like SMB not directly, if they are not mounted in the operating system itselve.
Please add the possibility to add a filesystem port like in e.g. “Transfer Files (Table)” and many other nodes and choose a PATH additionally to URI. Thanks a lot
yep, long overdue like many other nodes. web-ui port is one-part that is missing.
basic integration into the modernized connectors is even longer overdue.

Totally agree, just gave it an upvote! Dealing with URIs feels a bit dated now that most other nodes handle the filesystem ports so smoothly. It would definitely make workflows involving remote storage or SharePoint much cleaner.
