Hill climbing does not obey step sizes?

Hi,

I am playing around with parameter optimization settings, trying different search strategies. When choosing Hill climbing I note that it picks values that are outside the step sizes that I have defined. Is this to be expected?

I think it has something to do with the initial value in the first round. I guess KNIME generates a random value between your start and stop value.

Yet the step sizes should be discrete, so I don’t understand really where a value like 274 boosting rounds comes from. To me this seems to be a bug.
