How To Concatenate Cells If Same Value Exists In Another Column

Hi,

I have the followng matrix with several hundred entries (genes with corresponding sigma factors)

Sigma70 aceK
Sigma32 ackA
Sigma38 acnA
Sigma70 acnA
Sigma70 acnB
Sigma70 acpP

I would like to concatenate the sigma factor cells if one gene is regulated by more than one sigma factor:

Sigma70 aceK
Sigma32 ackA

Sigma 38, Sigma 70 acnA
Sigma70 acnB
Sigma70 acpP

I tried the GroupBy node, but I wasn't able to figure out how it is done.

Can someone help me?

Thanks

Hi Mrs_Sippi,

You can do this in the groupby node. You list the gene in the groups column and in the manual aggregation tab you  add the sigma factor cell column and for aggregation column you select (unique) concatenate and for value delimiter at the bottom you can set it on the delimiter of your preference.

Thank you very much, that is exactly what I am looking for!
