how to use KNIME to fetch tables in hive

Hello:
I used org.apache.hadoop.hive.jdbc.HiveDriver" as the datebase driver when I used the node “DateBase Reader” in KNIME.
I set the "DateBase URL " , “user name” and “password” well.
The SQL Statement shows like this:
Select * from tmp

But , it just didn’t work!

The Console shows:
WARN Database Reader java.sql.SQLException: org.knime.core.node.InvalidSettingsException: Driver “org.apache.hadoop.hive.jdbc.HiveDriver” does not accept URL: jdbc:hive://10.20.134.188:10000/default

Can anybody help me ?
Thank you!

Could anybody help me ?

Hi chakey,
For me it looks correct. Are you able to connect to your database using a small simple Java program. How do you usually connect to your Hive database?
Cheers, Thomas

Hi gabriel :
thanks for your answer.

I can connect the mysql database.

And in my java program the DataBase URL just as: jdbc:hive://10.20.134.188:10000/default
it works in the java program.

But in KINIME , i dont know why it shows a waring like :
WARN Database Reader java.sql.SQLException: org.knime.core.node.InvalidSettingsException: Driver “org.apache.hadoop.hive.jdbc.HiveDriver” does not accept URL: jdbc:hive://10.20.134.188:10000/default

Any other hints?

Thanks Sincerely.

I have successed to using KNIME with Hive(Hadoop) on JDBC.
Jars which are needed for using JDBC driver sould be placed on <knime_install_dir>/jre/lib/ext/*.

We had a problem in the database integration supporting HIVE since KNIME 2.3.3 which will be fixed with KNIME 2.7.2 coming out soon.
