Hub: Node Search does not list deprecated nodes

Hi,

backwards compatiblity is a very high value treasured by Knime. Whilst encouraging to leverage new nodes, it can be necessary to be able to find the depreacated nodes. In MUI adding //deprecateddoes the trick:

In the Hub however, there is virtually no option i.e. to find the deprected Row filter node

https://hub.knime.com/search?q=Row+Filter+(deprecated)&type=node&sort=best

https://hub.knime.com/search?q=Row+Filter+//deprecated&type=node&sort=best

I was required to use external search engines. Hence, I’d like to propose to add a “deprecated” tab, eventually hidden behind a “±”-Icon, to provide a shortcut.

Agreed. The search within KNIME itself for older versions of nodes (especially deprecated) is not always the best…

Some kind of version numbering or other clearer name separation would have been better. and as you say searching the hub doesn’t help at all.

It would be great if it were possible to have a “version number filter” in the HUB, so you could find nodes and workflows for a particular maximum KNIME version.
