Image Processing cannot be installed

Hey,

I want to install the Image Processing extension on a fresh KNIME 3.5.0 installation. This fails because a file called scifio_0.33.0.201712041307.jar cannot be fetched:

An error occurred while collecting items to be installed

It's also impossible to download this file by hand.

Marc

Hi Marc,

This seems to be a hickup in our update Server. Can you quickly try again?

Best,

Christian

Still the same problem!

Cheers,
Marc

Hi Christian,

any news on this?

Cheers,
Marc

Hi Marc,

can you try downloading that file manually (juts click on the link you posted)? It seems like the connection between you and the KNIME updatae servers is either unstable or very slow. I sadly was not able to reproduce your issue, and the file that is mentioned in the error message can be downloaded by me without problems.

best,

Gabriel

Hi Gabriel,

manually downloading does not work. I will try a different computer with a another IP address.

Best,
Marc

Hi Marc,

did you manage to find / solve the problem?

Best,

Christian

Dear Christian,

sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately it still does not work. Today, my colleague came to me with the same problem. He wanted to install the Erlwood extensions, which failed after downloading 66.22 megabytes.

I now created a brand new KNIME 3.5.2 installation and tried to install the Report Designer, which was successful. Then I tried to install the KNIME HCS Tools, which was successful. Right after I tried to install the KNIME Image Processing extension, which failed. Again. I also tried to install the Erlwood extensions. Which failed.

Best,
Marc

Both computers are running Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit.

Hi Marc,

I am sorry that the download is not working today, we are having some hickups with the community update site, making it impossible to install certain extensions, including the KNIP and Erlwood,it should be back to working soon.

Good news! The community update site is working again, you should not have any problems installing the plugins anymore.

Unfortunately it still doesn’t work. But I think, the problem can be found on our site.

The exact same JAR files, which cannot be downloaded via a browser actually can be downloaded using the Tor Browser. So I suspect it is a firewall issue and I have to reach out to our IT department.
