Is there a way to install a Knime extension without contacting the server. My organisation is very strict in opening up firewalls for external sites. I know what extension I need and have it on my privat PC - is there a way where I can copy the files - get the code approved and install on my work pc ? Any Ideas ? Many Thanks in advance

Yes, there are Local Update Sites as zip file. See here for more:

In addition a small protip. When known to NodePit, it provides you links to zipped and downloadable update sites on each node and product page (e.g. see Joiner).
Just watch out for the link in the Installation section:

Thank you very much for your swift respons. Your reply helped me some of the way. I could download the Knime extensions and i worked fine. But I also need one community extension - have tried Node pit - but I am not allowed to access that website from my work computer. Is there a way to install community extensions ? Thank you very much in advance 
Yes and No. I have been able to download and install the Knime Extensions. But my problem is a community extension I would like to install. Do you know if that can be done ?
