Installation Error - Java related?

Hi, I’m getting the following error as soon as I click on knime.exe

java.lang.RuntimeException: Application “org.knime.product.KNIME_APPLICATION” could not be found in the registry. The applications available are: org.eclipse.ant.core.antRunner, org.eclipse.equinox.app.error, org.eclipse.ui.ide.workbench, org.eclipse.update.core.standaloneUpdate, org.eclipse.update.core.siteOptimizer.

I tried putting the directory in C:\Temp\ in case it was to do with the space in the folder name, and I tried it on a machine that I have local admin on, but I still get the same error.

Any ideas?

Hi all,

A quick follow-up. I was never able to resolve this with KNIME 1 but with version 2 it ‘just works’.
So, hardly worth worrying about now :slight_smile:
