While you are waiting for user feedback, let us share KNIMEās standpoint on installing KNIME products on Amazon Linux and Amazon Linux 2, similarly to what we shared in a previous support ticket.
As Amazon Linux is a RedHat Clone, there should be no problem using it and installing KNIME on it.
One problem might be that some additional packages are needed, Amazon Linux e.g. comes without GTK libraries.
However we do not test Amazon Linux and Amazon Linux 2, hence we are also not able to officially support it.
