I am using version 4.0.2 of Knime and Windows 10. When I right-click on the visualization nodes like bar graphs or scatter plot and hover over the interactive view followed by selecting it, it does not display the interactive screen. There is no error message that appears, it simply looks to try to initiate and then closes. Please have a look at the file below.

Running your workflow on KNIME 4.0.2 / Windows 10 and following the steps you outlined, I do end up with an interactive view. May I ask what browser you have selected for displaying JavaScript views?
Can you try changing your browser to a different one and see if that helps?
