Is KNIME batch executor forward compatible?

Hi Team,

I know this was not possible earlier, but is the current KNIME batch executor, forward compatible? Can I execute a workflow created in newer version of KNIME using an older version of KNIME batch executor?

Imagine using a node that was added in a later version of KNIME in your workflow, how could the old executor know about it? The other direction is true though, you can run a workflow created with an older version of KNIME with a newer version.
