Issue with dates and XLS Reader node

Hi,

How can I force the XLS reader node to not transform date contained in my input file?  I have an excel file with dates in French.  When I read this file on my Linux machine, the XLS reader node changes the dates from French to English.  How can I prevent Knime from doing this?   This is annoying because I want to extract the month to use it further; I need to stay with months in French not in English…

Can you please give an example of how the date in the input data is formatted?
