Kafka missing option to config serializer/deserializer

Dear KNIME community,

I am missing the option to config serializer/deserializer in the respective kafka producer/consumer nodes, as these are available here Apache Kafka (producer configs) and here Apache Kafka (consumer configs).

Is there any other way or a possible workaround to overcome this major limitation in KNIME? Maybe such a feature is already in development and would be included in future versions?

Wanted to welcome you to the KNIME Community, looking at the documentation as well as the nodes that we have. Have you tried using the advanced settings tab in both the producer/consumer nodes, under key/value inputs?
