KNIME 2.4.2 fails to read Excel 2007 *.xlsx files

I get the following error when I attempt to read an Excel 2007 file with the XLS reader node,

ERROR     XLSReaderNodeDialog     java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException

It reads Excel 97-2003 files just fine, but fails to read *.xlsx 2007 files.  Anyone know a fix for this?

Hi,

I've seen this error too because I have the HCS-Tools extension installed. If it's the same reason in your case you could solve it with uninstalling the HCS-Tools. Otherwise just wait for KNIME 2.5. The issue will be solved then.
