KNIME 4.2 Ceritificate validation error when connectiong to nightly build update site

I am trying to install some features from nightly-build update site and I am getting the below certificate validation error:

Do you know if there is a proxy in place that messes up with certificates etc? Do you have the same problem also with the latest official KNIME release (4.1)? Do you keep running into the same problem also ‘now’? The nightly build update site gets refreshed/changed regularly, at least once a day.

Hope any of these questions help.

Hi Bernd,

I tried with KNIME 4.1.3 on the same machine and I could contact the update site and install the additional extensions via ‘Install new software’. With KNIME 4.2 NB 06/28 (knime_4.2.0_2020-06-28_23-53-56.win32.win32.x86_64.exe), I am seeing this certificate error when trying to install extensions from update sites like https://update.knime.com/analytics-platform/nightly or https://update.knime.com/analytics-platform/4.2.

Could someone please point me to the location to download zipped update site for KNIME 4.2? That would really help until the certificate issue is fixed.

Hi Team,

I am seeing this certificate validation error even with KNIME 4.2 release version on my Windows machine when trying to contact any update sites in ‘Install New Software…’. Trying to cantact both 4.1 and 4.2 update sites fails with certification error.
On the same machine, using KNIME 4.1.3, I am able to contact the update sites for both 4.1 and 4.2.

Any help would be really appreciated.
