KNIME 5.5.1 Windows 11 - Autocomplete text widget does not update after deleting the string

If I enter ‘sampletext’ into the Autocomplete text widget, and hit my refresh button, it updates the flow variable output for that widget.

If I delete the ‘sampletext’ from the widget, and hit my refresh button, it doesn’t update the flow variable.

I would expect it to set the value back to an empty string:

Is this the expected behavior or a bug?
