Not sure if this is specific for 3.3 (as I have not upgraded since 2.8), but the "Excel Writer (XLS) has a problem with "Autosize columns".

Here are the node settings:

Can anyone help?  This is one of the reasons that I do not upgrade my KNIME version as all my workflows need to upgraded by hand and it takes too much time.

Hi Macca,

I just validated this and unfortunately this is a bug. We completely rewrote the XLS nodes. 

I will let you know as soon as we have a bug fix online.

I'm also getting a lot of bugs with the Excel Rader (XLS) node. When loading the file in the preview I get the error "Loading interrupted, no preview is available." If I check the "Disable Preview" and run anyway, I then get a "Execute failed: java.lang.NullPointerException" error. This has been since I updated and seems to be happening with a wide range of files.

It seems ot be happening most to Excel Worksheets where there is a comment or color used in a cell.

Hi San Diego,

would it be possible that you send me such a file, where you get the  NPE?

It would be also really helpful, to see the full log entry of the NPE.
