Knime app does not open

Hello,
I was trying to put a new functionality on my workflow, and I had to install new software in Knime (newer version)
After doing this, my Knime app died, I am not able of opening it again.
This is the main error I get:
Application “org.knime.product.KNIME_APPLICATION” could not be found in the registry.

Now, I am not really sure if uninstalling and re-installing is a good idea since I had previously installed other “packages” in Knime that caused me some other issues.
Can I solve this issue somehow?

so you can’t open KNIME after you have updated KNIME to new version or installed new Extensions or both? In any case can you give more info like what KNIME version(s) and/or Extension(s) is this about, what OS are you running, how (what steps have you taken) to update/install KNIME/Extensions…
