KNIME Google API Nodes

Good afternoon guys,

I saw that there are some nodes that connects knime to the google sheets and i have some questions.

Is it safe to use these nodes? Is there any chance of data leak or security breach? How the connection and cryptography is done?

I am asking these questions, because we are dealing with confidential data and these nodes are still in the Knime labs.

Knime version: 3.5.3

Node version: 3.5.0.v201712111349

Extension name: KNIME Social Media Connectors (Twitter & Google)

Nodes used:

  • Google Sheets Interactive Service Provider
  • Google Sheets Reader

Hi Gabriel,

The fact that the nodes are still in labs comes just means that they are still under development and might be subject to change. If you update from 3.5.3 to 3.7.1 you will see that they have changed quite a bit.

This does not mean that the nodes were not secure to use in any means under the 3.5.3 release, as we used the standard google process for authentication.
