Hi,
I’m running Knime 5.4.3 - with all Extensions - on a MacBook (M3). After upgrading to a newer OS - macOS Sequoia v15.4 - I noticed a series of Warnings/Errors (see below) at start-up and could not find the ‘AI’ package in the ‘KNIME Labs’ anymore.
So I decided to go for a fresh installation of KNIME 5.4.3 and the base istallation (without extension) showed no Warnings/Errors in the Console at start-up. Installing the complete ‘KNIME Labs Extension’ worked (no errors during installation) - but at start-up, the Warnings/Errors showed up again (see below, the first lines of the log)!
Is there any known Problem with this OS Version for Mac?
Thx!
Erich

Hi,

It looks like you’re encountering some known problems related to macOS Sequoia (v15.4). We’ve seen similar reports from other users who have updated to this macOS version.

Based on information from GitHub and other users this is a general issue with that OS version - [Numpy import error when using conda-forge build of numpy 2.2.3 // no issue with pip · Issue #347 · conda-forge/numpy-feedstock · GitHub](https://github.com/conda-forge/numpy-feedstock/issues/347#issuecomment-2773377683)

Currently on that thread the recommendation is not updating to 15.4 yet.

Kind regards,

Thanks for the quick response! As this Mac is a company PC, I have to follow the security guide-lines, demanding this update!

Hi, If you check that thread, there is a recommended workaround. Our engineering team has been working on a fix for now.

I just tested it locally on my end, and after running the script, I was able to use the nodes in KAP again. Would you be open to helping us test this workaround on your side?

Please let me know!

> Dear KNIME Community, We want to inform you of a known issue affecting the bundled Python environments in KNIME Analytics Platform on macOS 15.4. Root Cause Some Conda libraries—particularly libgfortran (used by numpy)—contain duplicate RPATH entries, causing them to fail to load on macOS 15.4. This is not limited to KNIME; it stems from a known problem in the numpy conda-forge feedstock ([https://github.com/conda-forge/numpy-feedstock/issues/347](https://github.com/conda-forge/numpy-feedstock/issues/347)), and a permanent fix is not yet available.
