knime.log: where to limit the size

Hello,

I am trying to analyze my batch executions using the knime.log file. I have the impression that the file is being truncated in a way that the first entries are lost...

I can see also a knime.log.old.gz file which indicates that some kind of mechanism is in place, but it seems that this file is overwritten and not appended to... I don't think this is the best solution as a lot information is being destroyed that I desperately need to analyze my runs...

Is there a variable which I can set to change this behavior?

Thanks a lot,

Bernd

You can set a Java property knime.logfile.maxsize with the maximum size in either kB by appending a "k" or in MB by appending an "m", e.g

knime -vmargs -Dknime.logfile.maxsize=32m
