Math formula Flow Variables Interface

Hi all,

I found a little inconsistency in the Math Formula node Flow Variable Panel:

If someone wants to append a new column (and not replacing one) and the name of the column is to be determined by a variable it’s not evident where to specify the variable. It turns out one must use the “replaced_column” field to specify the new column name… But weren’t we appending a new column? I would clarify the panel (“replace/append_column”) or separate the inputs.

you are correct. We have discussed it here as well only for String Manipulation node:

Knime 4.4.1 on Windows 10. I just wanted to add a column name to append within a loop to a string manipulation node. There is only a bool field but not a string field in the flow variable tab. For “replace column” it’s exacatly the other way around: You can only set name (string) but not check the radio button (bool). Is there really something missing or are the fields double used and poorly labeled? [grafik]
