Meta Info Insert: Why no title insert?

Why is it not possible to insert / override the title of a Document? I need to extract all the required data and then use a String to Document node. That is pretty inefficient.

Hey M42,

you are right. This isn’t possible except using the workaround with the Document Data Extractor and Strings To Document to rebuild the documents.
However the Meta Info Inserter is just for custom document information that can’t be set via Strings To Document node.

I will put it on my list, so perhaps there will be another solution in the future.

Thanks @julian.bunzel - I load documents with the PDF reader node and then I want to change the title . This is the application - just so you know.
