There are a number of new nodes in 5.1 which are very useful. Is there some reason these can’t be used in 4.7? I know the push is to move everyone to 5.x, but frankly its so buggy and the functionality is currently so poor that its unusable for many projects. Until the 5.x series is more mature, it would be great if the new nodes were available in 4.7.

With “buggy” are you referring to the new UI? If so then you can simply switch back to the old UI and use the new nodes.
Can I get the nodes for a standalone 4.7.7 installation?
Using nodes from a more recent version in an older version usually doesn’t work. They often rely on new API added to the KNIME Core and hence they will simply not work.
What keeps you from using AP 5.1 with the classic UI?
5.1 takes forever to load. Tries to load most recent unclosed workflow and sometimes fails. Requires separate workspace if I don’t want to mix 4.7 and 5.1 workflows.
Would you be able to provide a ‘Java Thread Dump’ (e.g. using jstack - which comes with a JDK installation) while the application is locked up?
