Okay and execute

Hi there,

I am using knime for the past 2 years and I am very happy with the performance. I even downloaded 5.2 and using both 5.2 and 4.7 as the server version is 4.7. I want to request one feature in Knime AP. We have three buttons (Okay, Apply, Cancel) on every node’s configuration page. I feel it makes sense to add “Okay and Execute” button also as it reduces one more step to okay it and then click execute button.

Also in 5.2, how the results are shown, if the configuration is also shown in the below tabs where the results and flow variables are shown, just selecting the node one can move between the tabs. If anyone wants the advanced settings, one can click the expand button and the whole configuration window will be shown.

This is actually possible by pressing the Control (on Windows) or Command (on Mac) key.

We know it is a bit hidden and we will evaluate if it makes more sense to have this button by default in the future.

Thank you @josegallardo. Interesting that I never observed Ctrl + Okay or Cmd + Okay button.

You’re not the only one @kamtaot! I learned something new today too
and it means you don’t have to physically click OK, you can just press Ctrl+Enter and presumably Cmd+Enter on Mac.

Thanks for this @josegallardo. Personally I wouldn’t necessarily won’t all nodes to execute by default - I’m sure there would be times that would be problematic - but maybe finding a way to make this a little more “discoverable” would be good
