Open layout editor extreemly slow (3 sec. delay / frozen)

Hi,

opening the layout editor appears to have becomes quite slow:

Same for 5.8 in CUI

The last time I recall the interactive view opened almost instantly was prior to introducing LTS version (last time I worked heavily with interaactive views and data apps for a client).
