I understood that with PMML I have a complete description of the model. I saw there are PMML writer and reader nodes.
Does it means certain independence from the tool I used to generate the PMML file? I am right?

Yes, this is the goal of PMML :-) Ideally you can create a PMML model in any tool and use this model in any other tool. Having said this, there are different PMML versions and almost every model allows for custom extensions which other tools might not support. But in most cases it works as expected.
