Problem after upgrade to v4.1

When I try to open only a couple of my workflows I get a java.lang.NullPointerException error and no workflow.
Is there any way to fix them it other than rebuilding them from scratch??
I’ve downloaded the v4.0.2 Platform and the workflow opens fine. Unfortunately I can’t share the workflow but below is the error I get trying to open the workflow.

This doesn’t happen on all workflows I run just 2 out of the 25+ each day

Thanks for reporting this regression. The issue is related to empty / null flow variables of type String. We can reproduce it locally and will shortly provide a fix that should allow you to edit the affected workflows again. In the meantime, you should be able to open the workflows in KNIME Analytics Platfform 4.0.2 (albeit without the new nodes and functionality introduced in KNIME 4.1).

I’ll let you know as soon as the fix is available.

We have pushed a fix that should resolve the issue and let you open your workflows again. You’ll simply have to look for & install updates in your KNIME Analytics Platform 4.1.
