Problem with UpdateSite_development_2.0.0

Hi everybody,
I’m using KNIME SDK 2.0 and I’m not able to install the “Wizard for creating new node extensions”. I tried installing it directly from the Eclipse “Software Updates”, and from a downloaded UpdateSite_development_2.0.0.zip file.

  • With the first one I get this error:
    Network connection problems encountered during search.
    Unable to access “http://www.knime.org/update_2.x/development”.
    Error parsing site stream. [Premature end of file.]
    Premature end of file.
    Error parsing site stream. [Premature end of file.]
    Premature end of file.

  • With the second I get:
    No features found on the selected site(s). Choose a different site or site category.

How can I do to install it?

Hi Carmelo,

The first problem is likely to be related with your network connection. We had similar problems with users that could only access the internet via a proxy server, which needs to be entered in the Preferences (File->Preferences->General->Network Connections).
The second message is because in the SDK version the wizard for new nodes is already contained so the Update Site does not offer any new features.

However the correct path for Preferences is (Window->Preferences->General->Network Connections)

You are right, I was looking into KNIME Desktop, there it is under the File menu.
