Hi everyone,
Knime make update this morning (and not yesterday) and it has a strange UI (classic one, new one is worse) : configuration for nodes looks like this
and I can’t do nothing.
Is it a general issue ?

For me, the Modern Interface is not fitting all the window space when maximizing it. If I try to minimize it or resize the window, the “black” space still appears. It only disappears if I switch KNIME back to the main monitor (but this happens on the secondary ones).
Indeed, I have the problem only on my second monitor. It seems that the problem is resolved when uncheck the “Use monitor-specific UI scaling” :

Hi Joel, thanks for the solution. That also solves the problem I saw in the Modern UI. But, in order to fix it, the user needs to switch KNIME to the classic interface, apply your solution, restart KNIME and then switch back to the Modern UI.
Cheers,
Thanks !
This is not really satisfactory and not a solution.
I leave this case open.

Hello @JPollet,
yes I agree, unfortunately the Modern UI appears to not adapt its content correctly to secondary, higher-resolution screens on Windows in some cases. While the resolution itself is increased according to the bigger monitor, the content may not be scaled up.
As far as we know, there currently exist two workarounds:
As mentioned above by you and @CGraebin001 , you can turn of adaptive scaling entirely by unchecking “Use monitor-specific UI scaling”.
The second workaround is to keep “Use monitor-specific UI scaling” checked, set your bigger monitor as the primary one in your Windows settings, and restart the AP.
We’re sorry for the inconveniences and are currently working on a solution.
Best, Leon
