R, Matlab and Python scripting node update

Hello all,

I saw today that there was an update for the MPI scripting nodes. When I tried to install them I got this message:

Your original request has been modified.

"KNIME Matlab Scripting extension" is already installed, so an update will be performed instead.

"KNIME Ptyhon Scripting extension" is already installed, so an update will be performed instead.

"KNIME R Scripting extension" is already installed, so an update will be performed instead.

Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.

Software being installed: KNIME Ptyhon Scripting extension 1.1.0.201110121457 (de.mpicbg.tds.knime.scripting.python.feature.feature.group 1.1.0.201110121457)

Missing requirement: KNIME Ptyhon Scripting extension 1.1.0.201110121457 (de.mpicbg.tds.knime.scripting.python.feature.feature.group 1.1.0.201110121457) requires 'de.mpicbg.tds.knime.scripting.core.feature.group 0.0.0' but it could not be found

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

George

This will be fixed in the next nightly build.

Hi George,

the problem should be solved now. I made some changes to the plugin configurations and they had to be adapted on the nightly channel from KNIME side too (I was not aware of this fact).

Let me know if you still observe problems.

Antje

Hi Antje,

Thanks a lot for this. I've just tried the community nightly build and now it works fine - no dependency problems anymore.

However, the problem with the tmp file path is not fixed! I still get this error:

ERROR PythonSnippetNodeModel python: can't open file 'C:\tmp\analyze31995.py' when I try to use a Linux machine as a python server.

Thanks again,

George

Hi Antje, Thomas

I tried to update the MPI nodes again this morning from the community nightly builds.

This time the nodes cannot be created at all. I am attaching the error window that KNIME throws.

Regards,

George
