Dear Knime users,
do you know if it is possible to configure nodes such as the File Reader or the XLS Writer to read or write data from the current folder, i.e. from the folder where the workflow is saved?
it is a bit of a burdain to have to specify the full path of the file to be able to read it.

you can use this URL which points to the current workflow directory: knime://knime.workflow
From my experience it's not supported in every node. In case a node does not support the knime:// prototol, you can use a combination of different converter nodes to create a file:// URL (that's how I do things, probably there's a simpler way):
