replacing a substring within a field value from a dictionary

Hi

I have a field containing a value which I am looking to replace from a dictionary,

eg: replacing the combination XXXX in the field value A_XXXX_B by looking up XXXX from a dynamically generated  dictionary.

I have found Cell Replacer, but that does not allow for part of the field value to be replaced.

What is a good way to do this?

I did this using recursive loops. You can see the example on our public server with the name 01108_recursive_replacements.
