Saving Projects

We are having some difficulty with saving Knime projects. With the user version we have found that though we have been saving the project files (on both XP and Vista machines) there are times when the project files reverts to an earlier version and/or we lose R code within the R-snippet.

Specifically,
Deleting a node, saving the project, shutting down Knime and opening it up again and finding the node still in place.
Building meta nodes and R-snippets and losing them upon save/shut/open sequence.

The behaviour is not yet predictable so I have no system status/details.

Should we be doing more than simple files saves (archive??) or are there limits that we have exceeded?
