Setup Preferences on a Server Installation

Hello,

is there a way to setup preferences on a server installation by hand without export and import preferences. I have to configure the "database_timeout".

Thanks

Andrew

You have to at least export the preferences once from a KNIME Analytics Platform installation. However, an import is not necessary. The exported preferences file just needs to be copied to the "config" folder in the server repository as "preferences.epf". This is also described in the administration manual.

I have KNIME Analytics platform on my Windows 10 laptop. My KNIME Server installation is on a Linux machine.

So we had to edit the KNIME preferences.epf file before copying it to the server. For example, we had to change

/instance/org.knime.workbench.core/database_drivers=C\:\\software\\JDBC
to
/instance/org.knime.workbench.core/database_drivers=/apps/JDBC/teradata
