Since 3.4, Missing Value Node fails while opening a Workflow

Hello,

I have ugraded to 3.4 yesterday.

All workflows i have that contains Missing Value Node fail when being loaded with the following exception:

ERROR LoadWorkflowRunnable                  Status: DataLoadError: Unable to load port content for node "Missing Value": java.lang.RuntimeException: Parsing of PMML v 3.x/4.0 document failed.

ERROR LoadWorkflowRunnable                  Status: DataLoadError: State has changed from EXECUTED to CONFIGURED

ERROR LoadWorkflowRunnable                Status: DataLoadError: Missing Value 2:602

Thinking i was missing some additional component, i have also installed all possible updates.

Do you have any clue on this ?

I get nut.

Thanks in advance

Kind regards

Hi Bruno,

I just tried to reproduce your issue by creating workflows containing missing value nodes with KNIME versions older than 3.4 and then loading and running them in the analytics platform version 3.4, but the workflows run without errors.

Can you give me some more information about your setup (version/platform) and how you configure the node?

Hello,

Here is what happens to my current installation. When i use a Missing Value node within a workflow, i also can run it. Nothing special happens during the first run.

Let's say that i have to work a few days on the same workflow to design it and to transform my data. Everytime i save my workflow, if i need to reopen it later (let's say day after) i will get that error message saying that the transformation has to start over, at least from all last Missing Value nodes i have used.

It's like no intermediate data set is saved anymore for Missing Value Node.

At least this is the behavior i have on TWO Knime installations : one on my IMAC and the other on my Macbook pro.

Hope you will find, it's something really painfull for big workflows devs.

Thanks for your help

Bruno

Hi Bruno,

just wanted to let you know that I still wasn't able to reproduce the issue. Do you remember in which version of KNIME Analytics Platform you created the workflows originally? Good advice that you're using Mac, gonna try that next.

Cheers,
Marten

Hello,

have you tried on Mac ?

the workflows were created in the version just before the new release.

for you to know when upgrading to this new release I also faced issues to install Xls coloured writer

maybe this new release has issues with Apple os ?

thanks

Hello,

i tried this: In knime for Mac 3.4, i created a new workflow. Very basic. One node to create a table, and then the missing value node. Please have a look. Here is attached a pdf to explain the issue and the workflow.

The missing value node is not properly working on my current installations : IMAC and Macbook Pro.

Thanks

Hello,
I did check the forums and it looks like linked to the following error
Parsing of PMML v 3.x/4.0 document failed.
I have seen a few question on this in knime forums but no answer :frowning:
Is anybody able to help ?
Thanks

Hi Bruno,

thanks for your example-workflow. We tried to reproduce the issue on Mac with KNIME 3.3 and 3.4 now, but the workflow runs perfectly fine. We continue investigating, but without being able to reproduce the issue, it’s hard to find a solution.

Marten

Hi Bruno,

still no progress on reproducing the issue. I'd suggest you try a fresh installation of 3.4.

and will let you know

Hello,

Following your advice, I reinstalled everything. It works perfectly :)

And it's not that had to do.

Next time, I will start over from latest version instead of upgrading.

Thanks a lot.
